Our Media Capacity Building Network

The Global Events Network (GEN) serves and on-going mission to host high-profile media events to bring global exposure, inspiration and awareness in support of Healthy Community & Sustainable Development issues. The speakers, musicians, and other content focuses not only on the challenges we as a humanity are facing, but even more so we showcase solutions ("***Best Practices" ).

Many people around the world remember when the largest worldwide UN Environmental or Sustainable Development Summits nicknamed the Earth Summit happened in Rio De Janeiro in 1992.

In 2012 the next World Summit on Sustainable Development or Rio +20 is scheduled. GEN intends to organize a globally synchronized event at the Summit with other locations synchronized around the world. This summit has been confirmed by the UN to again revisit progress on implementation of sustainable solutions that have already been agreed to (see Agenda 21, the UN document that 172 Heads of State signed in June 1992, Rio De Janeiro).

Our focus over the last few years has been, is to build our Global Events Network by hosting synchronized events, inviting NGOs & other event organizers to join the GEN network and prepare for the Earth Summit +20 to have events in every country in the world.

Submissions of ***Best Practices are from virtually every country in the world represent tangible results of Sustainable Development case studies showcasing solutions that have actually been implemented and in many cases can be transferable to other cities, states and countries.
